What TV mounting in Darien usually involves
Homes here average around 1957 - a mix of plaster and early drywall, so the first job is working out which one is behind the paint. Houses of that age also tend to have fewer outlets than modern life needs, which is why a TV mount in Darien so often turns into a cable-routing job too.
Darien has about 5,908 owner-occupied homes, with the median one around $1.73 million. It is a smaller town, so we tend to group jobs there into the same run - worth asking about a day that suits us both. With a median resident age of 39.7, most TV mounting bookings here come from people who could do it themselves and would rather spend the Saturday another way.
Housing age from the US Census American Community Survey, 5-year estimates 2023 - about 5,908 owner-occupied homes in Darien.
What the price covers
- The wall checked first - stud, plaster or drywall - and fixings made for that wall.
- The mount levelled and the TV lifted on. A 60-inch or larger screen is a two-person lift, so it is priced for two.
- No mount yet? Your pro picks one up on the way, billed at cost rather than marked up.

TV mounting in Darien: common questions
How much does TV mounting cost in Darien?
A typical job comes to $185-$215, including your pro's trip to Darien. That covers about 1.5 hours of work for one pro. Bigger jobs are priced up front when you tell us what is there.
Does it cost more on a weekend or at short notice?
Weekends come to $205-$240, and anything needed within 48 hours $220-$255, because those slots cost our pros more. A weekday booked a few days out is the cheapest way to do it.
How do I pay?
A $30 deposit by card holds your slot and is refundable up to 24 hours before. The rest - $155-$185 on a typical job - is paid to your pro when the work is done. Nothing is added on top.
Can I get other jobs done on the same visit?
Yes. TV mounting and picture and shelf hanging together come to $295-$340 - $35 less than booking them separately, because your pro only makes the trip once.
Do I need to buy anything first?
Only if you want to choose it yourself. If you do not have TV wall mount, your pro picks it up on the way - billed at cost, usually $25-$80 - and the short detour is shown in your quote.
